Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slavik Dmitriev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Musa Muhammad!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dmitriev catches Muhammad with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Muhammad shoots in and gets a takedown into Dmitriev's guard.
Muhammad working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Dmitriev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Muhammad gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dmitriev regains guard.
Muhammad sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dmitriev's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dmitriev is looking for a sweep. Muhammad is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Muhammad throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Muhammad thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No joy there for Dmitriev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

No luck for Muhammad with that takedown attempt.
Slavik Dmitriev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Musa Muhammad.
Dmitriev scores with the left hand. Muhammad knows he should have avoided that one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Muhammad in particular looking to stall.

Dmitriev is fighting off a takedown attempt but Muhammad is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dmitriev to the mat. Dmitriev regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Muhammad stands and steps away. Dmitriev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Dmitriev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Muhammad circles away quickly and effectively.

Muhammad has gone for a leg lock! Dmitriev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Muhammad's guard.
Muhammad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dmitriev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Muhammad has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Dmitriev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muhammad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dmitriev has managed to get both his arms back between Muhammad's legs - danger averted.
Muhammad is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dmitriev is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Muhammad holds on and takes a little breather.

Muhammad walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dmitriev cracks Muhammad with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dmitriev is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Muhammad like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Muhammad from another fist facial!

During a confident post fight interview, Slavik Dmitriev thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
