The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn looks to throw the jab but Buut is out of range.
Buut slips under a jab.
Penn throws a looping overhand right but Buut ducks down to avoid it.
Buut is looking to counter with a body kick.
Penn just misses with a punch to the body.

Penn forces Buut back against the cage and clinches.
Buut has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

 It looks like Walay Buut has been cut.
Penn swings wildly with an uppercut but Buut uses good head movement to avoid it.

Penn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Buut's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Penn is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Buut is trying to escape and Penn transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Buut is forced to tap! Nice work there by Penn! Very nice indeed!
