Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andre Koefti (ranked 2934 p4p, 2693 weight class) and George Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koefti comes to the cage accompanied by IZ - E Ala E. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Koefti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, George Smith!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koefti throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Koefti defends it nicely.
Koefti goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Koefti sprawls well.

Koefti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith goes for a double leg but Koefti avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Koefti continues to drive forward.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koefti's waist but Koefti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smith is defended easily by Koefti.
Andre Koefti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Smith.
Koefti throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.

Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.
