Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riccardo Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abraham Macias!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cruz looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Macias has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cruz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Macias looking for a guillotine here but Cruz defends easily.
Cruz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cruz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Macias to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Macias shrugs it off.

Cruz is working for a guillotine from mount but Macias frees his head quite easily.
Cruz trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cruz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Cruz wants to finish this one by submission but Macias is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cruz.
Macias is looking to improve his position but Cruz isn't that keen on the idea.

Cruz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cruz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Macias can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cruz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Abraham Macias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Macias throws a right and a left that both miss.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz leaves Macias with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Cruz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Macias knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macias is looking to control Cruz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Macias avoid being mounted?

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cruz misses with a takedown

and Macias counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Macias.

Cruz uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Cruz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Macias can do to turn this around?

Macias misses with a takedown attempt - Cruz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Macias has his foot on Cruz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cruz works his way back into a safe position though.

Cruz wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Macias's closed guard. He's half up but Macias has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Macias pivots and extends the arm, Cruz falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Macias! Well done that man!
