The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Macias has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cruz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Macias looking for a guillotine here but Cruz defends easily.

Cruz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Macias to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Macias shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Macias pivots and extends the arm, Cruz falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Macias! Well done that man!
