Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexander Todd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colin Jackson! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Todd. Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Todd is dominant here and he's now got Jackson's back! Todd wants to control but Jackson manages to buck him off and is now in Todd's guard! Nice work there by Jackson! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Todd's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson preventing the sweep. Todd wants to hit a sweep here but Jackson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Todd there! Todd is working to get back to half guard.

 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Todd feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Todd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Todd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Todd is one step ahead there. Todd trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Todd closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Todd is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Jackson still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Jackson has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Todd is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Todd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Todd struggling a bit here. Todd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Todd is holding Jackson down, trying to stall. Jackson tries to stand but Todd is controlling his head. Todd is looking for a sweep.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jackson wants to stand but Todd has his arm trapped. Todd manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jackson's best efforts. Todd tries to get to full guard but Jackson has control of the leg. Todd trying to get back to full guard but Jackson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Jackson wants to stand but Todd is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Todd wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Jackson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Todd.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Colin Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jackson is trying to control the position but Todd postures up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson pulls Todd in close to prevent any damage. Todd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now. Jackson managing to control the position. Todd postures up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Todd looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jackson wants to stand but Todd has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Todd wants to sweep but no luck. Colin Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Todd's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.  The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Todd bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Todd has knee on belly momentarily but Jackson bucks him off and regains half guard. Jackson is trying to stand.
Todd wants to work for an arm triangle but Jackson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Todd is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Jackson to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexander Todd. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
