Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Silvio Costa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Best Chess! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chess shoots in but no luck this time.
Costa drives through and clinches with Chess against the cage.
Chess is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Costa gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Costa misses with a body punch.
Costa has Chess pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Costa pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Chess tumbling to the mat - Costa dives into Chess's guard. Costa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Costa controls from within his opponent's guard. Chess is trying to hold Costa in close to prevent damage but Costa has managed to pass into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Costa is looking to advance position but Chess won't allow it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chess wants to control but Costa is keeping busy and won't allow it. Costa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Costa looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Costa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chess trying to control here.
Costa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Costa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chess with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Costa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Costa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Costa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Costa scoring with strikes to the body and head. Costa trying to control the pace. Costa trying to pass the guard but Chess defending well.
Costa is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Chess is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
