Stryker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sellic. Stryker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Stryker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sellic.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Sellic finds it's way through Stryker's defenses. Sellic loads up on a big right hand but Stryker slips the punch. Stryker is looking to score with low kicks. Sellic throws a series of punches but Stryker avoids them all with ease. Stryker throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Johnny Stryker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sellic lands with a good body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Sellic. Stryker does a little dance to reset his feet. Stryker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sellic finds it's way round the side to connect with Stryker's head. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sellic throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Decent striking displayed by Stryker there. Stryker is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Sellic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sellic landing punches. Sellic prevents Stryker from getting the reversal. Sellic has hold of Stryker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stryker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Stryker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Sellic! Submission of the night perhaps?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donkey takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Zinfandel connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Zinfandel cracks the inside of Donkey's front leg. Zinfandel moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Donkey fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Donkey checks a low kick from Zinfandel. Donkey steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Zinfandel. That one must have hurt. Zinfandel with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Donkey is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zinfandel lands a nice leg kick that just misses Donkey's sensitive parts. Donkey takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Carter takes a swing at Wilson's ribcage but misses. Carter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wilson's guard. Wilson wants to get back to his feet but Carter is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carter wants to stand but Wilson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Carter is looking to advance position but Wilson won't allow it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carter connects with a nice short shot to Wilson's temple. Carter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wilson lands a lovely overhand right. Wilson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carter sprawls well initially but Wilson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wilson moves into full mount! Carter won't be happy about that! Carter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wilson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Wilson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carter is just riding it out for now. Wilson eventually gives up the hold. Wilson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Carter regains full guard. Nicely done. Wilson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wilson looking to finish Carter with some ground and pound. This is bad for Carter!

The ref rips Wilson off and cradles Carter's limp body as Wilson celebrates with his corner.
