Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Koefti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Angelo Canzanilla!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canzanilla takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Koefti lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Canzanilla darts in looking for a takedown but Koefti gets double underhooks and turns Canzanilla into the cage.
A little feinted left hand from Koefti on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Canzanilla fails with a takedown attempt.
Koefti throws a sloppy head kick and Canzanilla moves out of range easily.
Canzanilla blocks a leg kick.
Canzanilla shoots for a double leg takedown but Koefti sprawls well. He's pushed Canzanilla's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Andre Koefti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angelo Canzanilla.
Canzanilla doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Koefti counters with a nice low kick that buckles Canzanilla's knee momentarily.
Jab, jab by Koefti - just one landing.
Koefti scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Koefti bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Koefti connects with an inside leg kick.
Canzanilla dives in and grabs Koefti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Koefti pushes down on Canzanilla's head and hops out.
Andre Koefti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whack! Koefti lands a heavy head kick that drops Canzanilla. The ref tackles Koefti to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Canzanilla was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Andre Koefti!
