Michaud throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've been told by Michaud's head coaches at Ludus Magnus that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Magomedsharipov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Michaud swivels and escapes.

A right-left combo lands from Michaud.
Michaud scores with a nice body kick.
Michaud throws a sloppy head kick and Magomedsharipov moves out of range easily.
Magomedsharipov darts in looking for a takedown but Michaud gets double underhooks and turns Magomedsharipov into the cage.

Michaud plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Magomedsharipov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Michaud lands a big right hook! Magomedsharipov looks hurt but is still standing! Michaud lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Magomedsharipov falls down and Michaud dives in with a huge hammer fist! Magomedsharipov's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Michaud runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
