Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sodiq Yurchon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ayden Bruce! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruce dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Yurchon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Yurchon throws a strike but Bruce avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Yurchon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bruce preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Yurchon chips away with some ground and pound. Yurchon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Yurchon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Yurchon postures up and lands a big shot to Bruce's brow. Bruce is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bruce wants to stand up but Yurchon has a hold of him and won't allow it. Bruce is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Yurchon manages to get to full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bruce wants to get up but he can't break Yurchon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Yurchon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bruce stops Yurchon from standing up. Bruce has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yurchon is proving hard to escape from. Yurchon is looking to stand up but Bruce isn't so interested in that idea. Bruce trying to stand up but can't free himself from Yurchon's guard.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ayden Bruce is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bruce throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Yurchon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bruce looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Yurchon scoring with punches from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bruce dodges the ground and pound from Yurchon.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Yurchon misses with the ground and pound. Yurchon throwing shots but missing, from side control. The strikes coming from Yurchon are missing the target in this wave of attacks. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bruce can do anything to dispel that myth. Yurchon with the ground and pound but Bruce regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Yurchon misses with a head shot. Bruce uses the momentum to regain guard. Yurchon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Yurchon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Yurchon is looking to work some ground and pound but Bruce has wrist control. Yurchon tries to free his leg and advance position but Bruce is retaining full guard. Yurchon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Yurchon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Yurchon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Yurchon throws a strike but Bruce rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bruce wants to stand and escape but instead Yurchon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Yurchon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Yurchon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bruce is looking to stand up but Yurchon isn't so interested in that idea. Yurchon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Yurchon won't allow Bruce to sweep him here. Bruce avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Yurchon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Yurchon throws an elbow that misses. Bruce uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yurchon's guard. Nice move by Bruce!
Yurchon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruce wants to stand but Yurchon is controlling his posture from full guard. Yurchon wants to stand but Bruce is controlling the position. Bruce wants to stand but Yurchon has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bruce prevents Yurchon from getting back to his feet. Bruce trying to stand up but can't free himself from Yurchon's guard.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sodiq Yurchon will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Horrible takedown attempt by Yurchon or perhaps it was just good defense by Bruce, which made it look bad. Bruce dips to his left and cracks Yurchon with an uppercut! Bruce throws a looping overhand right but Yurchon ducks down to avoid it. Bruce jabs Yurchon right on the nose. Yurchon blinks but takes it well. Bruce lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Yurchon at a distance.
Yurchon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bruce. Bruce displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Yurchon. Bruce leaves Yurchon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sodiq Yurchon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bruce connects with the punch. Bruce lands a slapping body shot.
Bruce feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Yurchon sprawling to the canvas! Yurchon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bruce finish him?!
Yurchon is rocked!
It looks like Sodiq Yurchon has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yurchon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Oh Yurchon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bruce ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Yurchon out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ayden Bruce! Ayden Bruce decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
