The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds avoids a punch combination nicely.
An inside leg kick lands from Kai Gi.
Kai Gi dives in and grabs Reynolds's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reynolds pushes down on Kai Gi's head and hops out.

Kai Gi tries to keep at a distance but Reynolds has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kai Gi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Reynolds is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kai Gi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reynolds fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ginokai Kai Gi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kai Gi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Reynolds cranks the arm and Kai Gi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kai Gi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

You get the feeling that Daley really doesn't like being in this position too much.
