The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Cooper paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cooper darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cooper is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dawson misses with a takedown attempt - Cooper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dawson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cooper sprawling to the canvas! Cooper rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dawson finish him?!
Dawson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dawson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cooper defends it nicely. Dawson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cooper at a distance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jiki. Jiki misses with a looping right. Myton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Myton moves out of range as Jiki strikes. Myton swings for the body but Jiki moves out of range.
Jiki shoots in but no luck this time. Jiki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jiki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kunwa Jiki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myton drops his hands momentarily and Jiki takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jiki takes a shot right to the bread basket. Myton misses with a low kick. Jiki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Myton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jiki manages to avoid it. Jiki avoids the body shot from Myton.

Jiki drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jiki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Myton moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Myton scores with a hook to the body. Jiki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jiki is breathing heavily. A swing and a miss from Myton. Myton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jiki moves out of range of the strikes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jiki. Jiki fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cedric Myton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Myton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Myton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Myton lands a right hook to the body.
Jiki takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jiki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jiki takes one to the side of the head.
Myton lands a slapping body shot.

Myton has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Myton lands with a nice body punch. Myton ducks under a wild hook from Jiki. Myton thuds his right hand into Jiki's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jiki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Myton scores with a jab to the body. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jiki. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Myton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Myton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jiki rather than just go for the knockout. Jiki moves into range and clinches up with Myton. Myton lands an uppercut. Myton lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jiki backwards. Jiki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Myton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Myton sends Jiki crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Myton is motioning to the referee to let Jiki up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Jiki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Myton drops Jiki with a straight right hand, right on the button! Myton follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
