Thompson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Asahi is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Thompson yanks on the arm and Asahi is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Thompson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staley looks for a takedown but Banuelos sprawls well. Banuelos lands with a slapping head kick.

Staley tries to move into range but Banuelos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Banuelos sizes up Staley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Banuelos pushes Staley away with a front kick. Banuelos scores with a spinning back kick! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pettis fails to land the takedown. Pettis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brawl. Brawl smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Anthony Pettis has been cut. Pettis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brawl defends it nicely. Sprawl Brawl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Pettis. Pettis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brawl was covering up waiting for the punch and Pettis finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pettis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pettis trying to control the position from guard on top but Brawl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brawl is pulling down on Pettis's head. It's preventing any offense from Pettis, at least for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pettis is stalling in the full guard. Brawl pulls Pettis in close to his closed guard and prevents Pettis from doing any damage or advancing position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Brawl with a jab. Brawl grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Pettis takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Brawl cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Larson's head backwards. Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Larson circles away quickly and effectively. Larson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Larson on the wrong end of a nice hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown by Larson or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis which made him look bad.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis throws a series of punches but Larson moves out of range. Davis jabs Larson right on the nose. Larson blinks but takes it well. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Larson fails with a takedown attempt. Larson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ed Larson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ed Larson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Larson. Larson gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Phil Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He's pushed Cvetkov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Moni Cvetkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cvetkov looking for a takedown here - he's got it. parker is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cvetkov shakes it off. parker throws a wild body kick that Cvetkov sees coming a mile off. bruce parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. parker stuffs the takedown attempt from Cvetkov. Cvetkov gets slowly back to his feet. parker throws a sloppy head kick and Cvetkov moves out of range easily. Cvetkov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. That was a close round but I would say that bruce parker will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Cvetkov uses the momentum to regain guard. parker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lancaster ducks under a wild hook from McGruber. Lancaster throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. McGruber misses with an uppercut. Lancaster uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGruber. McGruber throws a looping overhand right but Lancaster ducks down to avoid it. Lancaster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McGruber but McGruber pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lancaster shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGruber pinned against the cage. McGruber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lancaster keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McGruber. Some wild striking there from McGruber.

and Lancaster counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lancaster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lancaster stands up over McGruber, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lancaster wants to control from the top but McGruber keeps moving. McGruber can't keep his opponent in guard - Lancaster advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lancaster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGruber does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lancaster passes to full mount! McGruber takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancaster trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lancaster in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lancaster throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McGruber because Lancaster loaded up on that one. BOOM! Lancaster connects with a massive shot to the dome!
McGruber is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lancaster is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. McGruber is in real trouble.
Lancaster is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. McGruber defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. McGruber tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancaster is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
McGruber prevents Lancaster from getting a body triangle. McGruber tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Lancaster thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Lancaster wants to finish this one by submission but McGruber is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lancaster. and Lancaster counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McGruber! Lancaster can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGruber is looking to escape. Malcolm Lancaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McGruber is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lancaster looking to control and managing it successfully. Lancaster working for a submission but McGruber is keeping him at bay. Lancaster lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lancaster has control of McGruber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McGruber regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lancaster looking to finish McGruber with some ground and pound. This is bad for McGruber! McGruber is looking to get to half guard. McGruber tries to hold on but Lancaster postures up. Lancaster is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McGruber can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Lancaster swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McGruber is now in Lancaster's guard. A big mistake from Lancaster there, giving up the dominant position! Lancaster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGruber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. and Lancaster counters with a shoot takedown. McGruber fights it but they end up in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! McGruber throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Lancaster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McGruber is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lancaster, into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McGruber is looking to advance position but Lancaster won't allow it. McGruber seems to be working for a kimura but Lancaster defends the submission attempt. Lancaster is pressing down on McGruber's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. McGruber got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lancaster has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McGruber has managed to get both his arms back between Lancaster's legs - danger averted. McGruber is in close to Lancaster's body, working some short punches and elbows. Malcolm Lancaster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lancaster wants to control the position but McGruber says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meacham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Meacham fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Coughlin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Coughlin wants it to stay on the feet. Jem Coughlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Meacham. Meacham throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coughlin's waist but Coughlin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Meacham off to one side. Coughlin clinches up against the cage.
