4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, The Tree! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Travis Wickline! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wickline tries to clinch there but Tree circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wickline is defended easily by Tree. Wickline is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tree sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tree lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wickline backs up against the cage.
It looks like Travis Wickline has been cut. Wickline throws a combination that misses and Tree counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wickline tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tree swivels and escapes. The Tree has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Wickline. Wickline fails with the takedown and Tree counters with a three punch combo that has Wickline backing up. Wickline nods at Tree to acknowledge the strikes. Tree slaps away a takedown attempt from Wickline, before circling back to the center of the mat. No joy there for Tree, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tree keeps the fight on the outside. Tree's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Tree duly obliges. Tree really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wickline looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tree misses with a series of wild punches.
Tree lands with a right that hurts Wickline. Wickline looks to clinch but Tree throws a short knee that drops Wickline. This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puukko throws a series of punches but Dickson moves out of range. Some wild striking there from Puukko.
Dickson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dickson misses with a straight left. Puukko misses with a jab, cross combination.
Puukko throws a series of punches but Dickson avoids them all with ease. Puukko misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dickson.
Puukko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dickson throws a series of punches but Puukko avoids them all with ease. Puukko throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Dickson shoots for a double leg takedown but Puukko sprawls well. He's pushed Dickson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dickson. Dickson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Puukko misses with a combination
and Dickson counters with a body kick. Puukko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Puukko wants it to stay on the feet. I looks like Dickson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Puukko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dickson on the ground. Puukko is looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Well, if Dickson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Dickson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Puukko is trying to defend but Dickson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dickson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dickson works his way into full mount! Dickson controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Dickson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Horrible takedown by Dickson or perhaps it was just good defense by Puukko which made him look bad. Puukko walks into a straight right hand from Dickson. Puukko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dickson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Dickson fails with a takedown attempt. Dickson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dickson trying to control from Puukko's half guard. Puukko has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Puukko wants to get back to his feet but Dickson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

George Dickson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Puukko throws a right and a left that both miss. Puukko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Dickson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dickson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Puukko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dickson prevents Puukko from standing back up.

Puukko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dickson moves away.

Dickson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lauri Puukko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dickson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Puukko swats away the attempt to clinch by Dickson. A combination from Puukko does no damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. James closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. James staying calm. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Slammer wants to control but James postures up. Slammer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Slammer tries to improve position but can't. Slammer can't do much from the bottom here. James is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Slammer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but James is controlling him well. Slammer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. James is looking to take a break and control but Slammer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. James is staying tight to Slammer's torso, preventing him from escaping. Slammer really is a fat lump. James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Slammer has escaped the position, nice work there. Slammer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground. James is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slammer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. James tries to move to mount but Slammer blocks the move with his legs. James rushes Slammer and presses him up against the cage. James tries to score a body lock takedown but Slammer shows good agility there to stay on his feet. James is trying to drag Slammer to the mat but Slammer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. James successfully pulls guard.
James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Still in half guard, James seems content to control. James is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Slammer! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Slammer controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Rand James has got the better of the ground game so far. James working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Slammer is doing well to defend. James seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Slammer is forced to tap and this one is over!

James feints and as Mapuche raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. James passes into half guard. James scoring with strikes to the body and head. James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. James with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Smith getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Big Mack.
