Whilst being asked about his opponent Eric Shavers had this to say "He's a tough kid, what's his name balrog? I know he has great Muay Thai and he likes that 'KO' but I know he likes to headhunt so he'll slip up, and I also know he's never been in the cage with a real striker. Michael Balrog has made a promise to all the MMA Gladiators fans, that the inaugural KT event will start off with a bang. He was quoted as saying "Eric Shavers will need facial reconstructive surgery after my right hand caves in his face."
