Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Pardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tao Ching (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

ZZZChing changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pardo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ching moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Pardo manages to get back to half guard.
Ching is looking to pass Pardo's guard but actually Pardo recovers to full guard.
Ching sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Pardo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ching stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pardo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

I looks like Ching might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ching's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Pardo gets back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ching shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pardo can't keep his opponent in guard - Ching advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pardo wants to improve his position but Ching is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.
Ching wants to free his trapped foot but Pardo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ching frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ching is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pardo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tao Ching showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Pardo is trying to control Ching's posture but Ching avoids it.

Ching tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ching has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ching fakes an overhand right and shots for a takedown. Pardo sprawls well initially but Ching persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ching is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pardo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ching.

Well, if Ching is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tao Ching comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ching has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
