Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnor Sigurdsson (ranked 7058 p4p, 535 weight class) and Miguel Duarte (ranked 7392 p4p, 551 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arnor Sigurdsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Duarte! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sigurdsson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Miguel Duarte has been cut. Duarte lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Duarte crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sigurdsson - the referee stops the clock and Duarte gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sigurdsson. Duarte manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Sigurdsson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sigurdsson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Duarte takes a step back to recover. Sigurdsson tries to land a body kick and Duarte counters with a straight right hand. Sigurdsson throws a poor cross that misses
and Duarte counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Arnor Sigurdsson has been cut. Sigurdsson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Arnor Sigurdsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping leg kick lands for Sigurdsson.
Duarte missing with a left hand there. Sigurdsson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Duarte swings for the body but Sigurdsson moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sigurdsson lands a head shot. Sigurdsson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Duarte lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Sigurdsson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sigurdsson connects with the punch. Sigurdsson scores with a push kick. Duarte misses with a shot to the body and Sigurdsson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sigurdsson scores with the left hand. Duarte knows he should have avoided that one. Duarte throws a combination that misses and Sigurdsson counters with a slapping leg kick. Sigurdsson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Duarte takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sigurdsson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Duarte has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sigurdsson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sigurdsson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sigurdsson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Duarte. Duarte circles away out of range and recomposes himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Duarte takes a jab right on the kisser.
That has opened up Miguel Duarte's cut even more.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sigurdsson throws a poor cross that misses
and Duarte counters with a straight right hand. Duarte misses with a hook. Duarte throws an off balance right hand
and Sigurdsson counters with a stiff right hand. Sigurdsson doesn't manage to clinch there - Duarte circles away.
It seemed like Duarte was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sigurdsson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sigurdsson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Duarte is rocked! Both fighters circling a little - Sigurdsson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Some wild striking there from Sigurdsson.
Duarte fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sigurdsson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Duarte blocks a low kick nicely. It seemed like Duarte was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Duarte rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Sigurdsson to counter with a crisp jab. Duarte is still on wobbly legs! Can Sigurdsson finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duarte takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sigurdsson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Duarte tries to keep at a distance but Sigurdsson has taken the fight into the clinch. Sigurdsson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duarte seems to have recovered his senses. Sigurdsson drops Duarte with a big left hand! Duarte is injured, injured bad! Sigurdsson jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arnor Sigurdsson!
