Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timi Boss (ranked 3127 p4p, 119 weight class) and Sampsa Pusilla (ranked 3036 p4p, 116 weight class). Sampsa Pusilla has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Timi Boss's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timi Boss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sampsa Pusilla! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boss wants to clinch. Pusilla shoots in and bounces Boss off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pusilla trying to stand up but can't free himself from Boss's guard. Pusilla is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pusilla distracts Boss with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pusilla controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pusilla postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pusilla controls from within his opponent's guard. Boss is looking for a triangle but Pusilla pushes his legs off easily.
Pusilla stands up over Boss, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Pusilla decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boss, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pusilla swivels and escapes. Boss throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pusilla jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Timi Boss has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Pusilla. No joy for Boss on that attempt. Pusilla tries a head kick but it misses.
Pusilla throws a sloppy head kick and Boss moves out of range easily. Boss was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Boss misses with a takedown and Pusilla counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timi Boss. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boss gets control of Pusilla's arms and successfully pulls guard. Boss will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pusilla sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Pusilla might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Pusilla decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Pusilla is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Boss. A looping hook to the body misses from Pusilla. Boss does a little dance to reset his feet. Boss dives in and grabs Pusilla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pusilla pushes down on Boss's head and hops out. Pusilla tries to counter with a clinch but Boss shakes him off and moves away. Pusilla fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boss to the ground. Pusilla is now in Boss's guard. Pusilla scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pusilla thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pusilla engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Boss has a closed guard, preventing Pusilla from standing up. Boss looking for subs off his back but Pusilla has passed one foot through into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pusilla is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sampsa Pusilla dominated that round. The cut man is working on Timi Boss's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Boss closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pusilla circles away. No luck for Boss with that takedown attempt. Pusilla throws a counter combo. Boss throws a chopping leg kick but Pusilla manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Pusilla takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pusilla closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boss's guard. Boss wants to get back to his feet but Pusilla passes into half guard.
Boss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pusilla on the ground. Boss is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pusilla is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Boss looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pusilla takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pusilla lands a nice short elbow.
Timi Boss's cut is getting worse. Pusilla moves nicely into side control. Pusilla happy to just control the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pusilla has hold of Boss's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Boss tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pusilla cranks the arm and Boss screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Boss, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sampsa Pusilla!
