The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez loads up on a big right hand but apatico slips the punch.

apatico with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sanchez to score with a decent uppercut.

apatico is going olschool here, as he tries to force Sanchez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sanchez shrugs it off.

You get the feeling that Sanchez really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Sanchez is trying to stand but he's just given apatico his back.
apatico has his opponent's back but Sanchez is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off apatico.

Sanchez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, apatico asserts his dominance and retains side control.

and apatico counters with a shoot takedown. Sanchez fights it but they end up in guard.
