Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dave Brown (ranked 23929 p4p, 538 weight class) and Chong Tay (ranked 3830 p4p, 392 weight class). Dave Brown has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 34 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chong Tay! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tay has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Tay misses with a head kick.
Brown lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brown. Tay clips Brown with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Brown a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
It looks like Dave Brown has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Good exchange - Brown coming out on top. Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing. Brown jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brown lands a two punch combo.
Tay closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Brown crashing to the mat! Brown uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
Brown is rocked! Brown looks to throw the jab but Tay is out of range. Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tay showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brown.
Tay throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily. Brown seems to have got his legs back now. Brown throws a right and a left that both miss. Tay throws a right and a left that both miss. Brown tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Tay manages to circle out of the way. Brown lands with a hook. Tay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Tay throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.
Brown has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight. A punch combination from Tay misses. Tay throws a leg kick but Brown sees it coming and moves out of range. Tay throws a right and a left that both miss. Tay swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brown has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tay throws a body kick that misses. Brown misses with a double jab.
Brown lands a glancing blow to the side of Tay's head. Tay lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Brown goes down! The ref sends Tay to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Brown is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action! No joy there for Tay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brown instigates a clinch. Brown is trying to force a seperation but Tay has the dominant position. Brown is trying to break the clinch but Tay has him pressed against the ropes. Brown missing with knees to the body.
Tay working hard to break the clinch. Tay avoids the elbow strike from Brown, against the ropes.
Tay is trying to break the clinch but Brown is controlling him. Tay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brown paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Tay lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Brown forces Tay back against the ropes and clinches. Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tay throws a leg kick and Tay takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tay throws a right and a left that Brown avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Brown lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Danga de danga de dang - Brown scores with a four punch combination! Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing. Brown tries to bum rush Tay with a series of wild strikes but Tay uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brown bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tay's head. Brown lands a jab-cross combination. Tay is stalking his opponent - BOOM! Switch kick out of nowhere! Brown is not moving; he is out cold!! Wow, what a quick finish that was.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Chong Tay! A very excited looking Chong Tay rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
