Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Wayne Gracie (ranked 2775 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Sixx (ranked 3291 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Thriller by Michael Jackson blaring out of the sound system. Sixx has chosen The Fire of Power by WATAIN as his entrance music. John Wayne Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sixx looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sixx tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sixx manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Gracie prevents Sixx from standing back up.
Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.
Sixx is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Gracie missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sixx wants to get back to full guard.
Gracie landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Gracie is nestled in close to Sixx, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sixx is looking to get back to is feet but Gracie passes into side control.
Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sixx knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gracie in side control, throwing shots but Sixx defends.

Sixx misses with a takedown attempt - Gracie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

It looks like Vinnie Sixx has been cut.
Sixx wants to clinch.
Gracie drives through with a takedown into Sixx's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Gracie wants to control from the top but Sixx keeps moving.

Sixx utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.
Gracie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sixx can do to turn this around?
Gracie slips a nice elbow through Sixx's hands, connecting with Sixx's forehead.
Sixx pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.

Gracie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Gracie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sixx with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sixx is trying to stand back up but Gracie is controlling him
Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sixx is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sixx is looking to escape.

Gracie working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sixx trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The referee warns Sixx that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sixx is rocked!
Sixx is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount.
Sixx is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?
Gracie postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Sixx is out cold - huge knockout for Gracie!
