Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sparrow (ranked 3202 p4p, 171 weight class) and Jackie Vergys (ranked 2377 p4p, 131 weight class). Jackie Vergys is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparrow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Vergys is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Sparrow lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Vergys down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vergys takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

We've been hearing good reports from Sparrow's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
