Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Toivonen (ranked 88 p4p, 14 weight class) and Sergei Martynov (ranked 204 p4p, 32 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martynov connects with a right hand. Toivonen shakes it off.

It looks like Pekka Toivonen has been cut.
Martynov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Toivonen throws a low kick but Martynov moves out of range easily.
The fighters circling - Martynov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Martynov throws a head kick that Toivonen semi-blocks.
Toivonen misses with a low kick.
A little jabbing left from Martynov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Martynov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Toivonen fires out a quick counter leg kick but Martynov just manages to avoid it.
Toivonen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A big left from Martynov misses.
Toivonen throws a hook but Martynov avoids it easily.
Martynov appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Toivonen jabs Martynov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Toivonen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martynov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Martynov looks to throw the jab but Toivonen is out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Martynov, as that shot connected.
Toivonen staying out of range there.
Toivonen tries to work over Martynov's front leg with a kick but Martynov checks it.
Toivonen misses with a leg kick.
Martynov closes the distance but Toivonen moves to the side
and Toivonen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Martynov defending well as Toivonen loads up on a big left hand.
Toivonen tries to land a leg kick but Martynov saw it coming and moves away.
Toivonen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Martynov.
Martynov lands with a kick to the temple. Toivonen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Toivonen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Martynov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Toivonen.
A chopping leg kick lands by Toivonen.
Martynov tries to clinch but Toivonen moves out of range.
Martynov misses with an uppercut
and Toivonen counters with a stiff right hand.
Martynov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Toivonen throws a body shot but no joy.
Martynov walks into a straight right hand from Toivonen.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Toivonen.
A punch lands to the side of Toivonen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Martynov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Martynov is rocked!
Martynov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Pekka Toivonen's cut is getting worse.

Toivonen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A jab lands there for Martynov.
Toivonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Martynov is looking to slow Toivonen down with leg kicks.
Martynov tries to clinch but Toivonen is having none of it.
Toivonen throws a leg kick that misses.
Toivonen throws a leg kick but Martynov moved away.
A little jabbing left from Martynov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Toivonen lands with a good body shot.
Martynov throws a low kick but it's checked well by Toivonen.
Martynov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Martynov is still on wobbly legs! Can Toivonen finish him?
Toivonen closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Martynov! Toivonen dives in looking to finish! Martynov is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
