Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Sirus Hughes (ranked 3889 p4p, 194 weight class) and Dominick Bruise (ranked 3248 p4p, 167 weight class). Hughes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Devil "Shinedown". Dominick Bruise acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hughes fails with a takedown attempt. Hughes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bruise moves into the clinch. Bruise tightens his grip and picks Hughes up, before dumping him to the ground. Hughes manages to land in guard. It looks like Bruise might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hughes is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bruise thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bruise is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hughes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Bruise is looking to take a break and control but Hughes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hughes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bruise wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
