The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gambino tries to avoid it but Bullock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gambino to the ground. Gambino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bullock has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gambino is landing a low percentage of strikes.

And Bullock tries to counter it with a takedown but Gambino pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bullock shoots in looking for a takedown. Gambino tries to sprawl out of it but Bullock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gambino manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
