Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Salvatore Gambino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lars Bullock! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bullock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gambino tries to avoid it but Bullock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gambino to the ground. Gambino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bullock has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gambino is landing a low percentage of strikes. Gambino throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And Bullock tries to counter it with a takedown but Gambino pushes his down on his head and steps out. Bullock misses with a takedown and Gambino counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Lars Bullock has been cut. Gambino fails to land the takedown. Bullock is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bullock shoots in looking for a takedown. Gambino tries to sprawl out of it but Bullock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gambino manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Salvatore Gambino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lars Bullock. A cross from Gambino lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Bullock with that takedown attempt. Bullock fails with the takedown.

Gambino's coaches at Brotherhood MMA (16 ELITE COACHES) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gambino tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Gambino wants to get back to his feet. Bullock misses with punches from the back.
