Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fausto Carsara (ranked 1202 p4p, 153 weight class) and Scott Hill (ranked 1348 p4p, 164 weight class). Carsara comes to the cage accompanied by E'sord Luché. Fausto Carsara had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fausto Carsara looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill shoots in for a takedown but Carsara shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Carsara has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Carsara stuffs the takedown attempt from Hill. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.
Carsara takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hill works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Carsara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hill.
Hill shoots in for a double leg but Carsara sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fausto Carsara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Hill.

Hill darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Hill looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carsara with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carsara's head.
Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carsara does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hill wants to pass to mount but Carsara is defending the position.

Hill winds up and cracks Carsara with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill stops Carsara from getting back to his feet.
Carsara is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hill scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Hill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carsara looks a forlorn figure.
Hill lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Carsara is desperately trying to improve his position but Hill has a good base and remains in mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hill cracks Carsara with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hill lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Carsara! Hill sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Carsara and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
