Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alessio Da Santiago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Inigo Montoya!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Santiago takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Da Santiago misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A countering left hand to the body from Montoya misses.

and Montoya counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Montoya lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Montoya escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Da Santiago changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montoya tries to avoid it but Da Santiago manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montoya to the ground. Montoya escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Da Santiago has his takedown stuffed
and Montoya counters with a series of strikes. Da Santiago will be more careful next time no doubt.

Da Santiago uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Montoya.

Montoya lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Da Santiago closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Montoya blocks an elbow strike.

Da Santiago jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Montoya walks away with a smile on his face. Da Santiago gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A clash of legs there as Da Santiago blocks the low kick.
