Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jabbar Omarov (ranked 3068 p4p, 339 weight class) and Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 5925 p4p, 491 weight class). Germano has chosen HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Germano tries to clinch but Omarov moves out of range. Germano instigates a clinch. Omarov looking for a takedown. Germano wants the takedown. Omarov is fighting it off but Germano persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Omarov's guard against the ropes. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Omarov (0) vs (2) Germano We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Germano wants to control from the top but Omarov keeps moving. Germano controls from within his opponent's guard. Omarov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Germano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Omarov is looking for a triangle but Germano pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Germano forces his way into half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Germano wants to take a breather but Omarov is having none of it. Germano might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Omarov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Omarov trying to control here.
Germano stalling. Germano is looking to take a break and control but Omarov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Germano is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Omarov has managed to free his arm - good work. Omarov moves into full guard.

Germano wants to sweep here but Omarov controlling him for the moment. Germano wants to improve his position here. There's a bit of a scramble and Omarov has taken Germano's back! He's locked on a rear naked choke here and Germano has been forced to tap!
