Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harnett Mckleskin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Stallion! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stallion lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Harnett Mckleskin has been cut. Stallion cracks Mckleskin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rocky Stallion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stallion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mckleskin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Stallion throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Mckleskin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stallion tries to roll over but Mckleskin keeps him under control. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Stallion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mckleskin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mckleskin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stallion for as long as he can get away with. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stallion can do anything to dispel that myth. Mckleskin wants to free his trapped foot but Stallion is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mckleskin scoring with strikes to the body and head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stallion trying to control from the bottom.
Mckleskin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mckleskin missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stallion gets back to full guard.
Mckleskin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mckleskin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mckleskin is trying to control the action in half guard but Stallion is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mckleskin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stallion is just riding it out for now. Mckleskin eventually gives up the hold. Mckleskin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckleskin working over Stallion with some ground and pound. Stallion looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mckleskin prevents Stallion from standing back up.
Mckleskin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stallion is staying active underneath Mckleskin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stallion actively working from the bottom here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Still in half guard, Mckleskin seems content to control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mckleskin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stallion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stallion throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Stallion has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Stallion throws a leg kick that misses. Stallion wants to slow Mckleskin down by chopping away at his legs. Mckleskin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Stallion connects with a body shot that sends Mckleskin's belly button to the back. Good exchange - Stallion coming out on top. Mckleskin takes a body punch but keeps moving. Stallion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mckleskin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mckleskin darts in trying to clinch letting Stallion counter with a right hand. Stallion lands with a shot to the body. Mckleskin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mckleskin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stallion on his heels. He'll look to pass Stallion's guard now, I'm sure. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mckleskin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stallion works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stallion is adopting a defensive guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckleskin trying to control the position from guard on top but Stallion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stallion looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mckleskin is one step ahead there. Mckleskin wants to control from the top but Stallion keeps moving. Mckleskin sitting in guard, not really doing much. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Stallion dominated that round. The cut man is working on Harnett Mckleskin's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Mckleskin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Stallion has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The fight stays on the outside here - Mckleskin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stallion throws a chopping leg kick but Mckleskin manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Stallion jabs at Mckleskin's body. Stallion throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A cross from Stallion lands. Stallion cracks Mckleskin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Stallion connects with a nice looking jab.
Stallion wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mckleskin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stallion connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mckleskin scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stallion throws a leg kick but Mckleskin moved away. Mckleskin moves to clinch but Stallion breaks away enabling Stallion to counter with a crisp jab. Mckleskin throws a sloppy head kick and Stallion moves out of range easily. Mckleskin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stallion lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Stallion scores with a jab to the head.
Mckleskin looks to land a body kick but Stallion moved away. Stallion scores with a nice head shot. Stallion scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mckleskin shoots in for a takedown but Stallion shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stallion is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Mckleskin with a body shot. Stallion connects with a nice looking jab.
Stallion lands a really nice looking cross but Mckleskin seems unphased.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters circle momentarily. Stallion darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Stallion misses with a low kick.
Stallion fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mckleskin checks it well. Mckleskin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stallion. Stallion fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Harnett Mckleskin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stallion uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mckleskin has time to react. Nice body punch from Stallion. Stallion swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mckleskin. Mckleskin takes a body punch but keeps moving. Stallion lands a jab to Mckleskin's midsection. Stallion feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mckleskins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Stallion misses with a body kick. Stallion scores with a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stallion tests Mckleskin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Stallion throws a low kick but Mckleskin moves out of range easily. Stallion cracks Mckleskin with a right hand to the side of the head. Stallion scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Harnett Mckleskin's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Mckleskin shoots in looking for a takedown but Stallion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mckleskin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rocky Stallion seems to be getting the better of the standup. Donk. Stallion catches Mckleskin right on the button with a cross. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Mckleskin is rocked!
Jeez, Harnett Mckleskin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Mckleskin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Oh Mckleskin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stallion feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mckleskin sprawling to the canvas! Mckleskin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Stallion finish him?!
Stallion looks to land a body kick but Mckleskin moved away. Stallion lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Mckleskin falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
