The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nao bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Castillo looks to score with a jab to the body but Nao is just out of range.
Castillo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Castillo lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nao connects with a leg kick. Castillo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Nao walks into a left hand.

It looks like Solomon Nao has been cut.

Nao moves away from the strike by Castillo.
The fighters circling - Castillo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nao slips under a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nao avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nao throws a push kick but Castillo slaps the foot to one side.

Ricardo Castillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Nao.

It looks like Ricardo Castillo has been cut.
Nao on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Castillo feints and then cracks Nao's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nao down.
Castillo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Castillo slips a jab from Nao.
It looked like Castillo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Castillo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nao.
Nao is trying to counter with his kicks.
Castillo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nao lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Castillo at a distance.

and Nao counters with a thumping low kick.
Castillo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Castillo misses with a hook. Nao ducked under it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nao thuds his shin into the meat of Castillo's side.
Nao cracks Castillo with a good jab.
Nao is looking to score with low kicks.
Nao catches Castillo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Castillo scores with the left hand. Nao knows he should have avoided that one.

and Nao counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Castillo thinking.
Castillo is breathing heavily.

Castillo swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Castillo swings away with a body shot that misses
and Nao counters with a huge left! Castillo is in big trouble! He's backing up but Nao isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Castillo from any more damage. A dominating finish by Nao!
