The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Buren throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marceau sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Van Buren misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Marceau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A solid body kick from Marceau.
Van Buren looks to land a left hand but Marceau moved out of range nicely.
Marceau avoids the body shot from Van Buren.
Marceau was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Marceau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Van Buren looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Van Buren throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marceau's head.
It looks like Jean-Claude Marceau has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Buren ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A swing and a miss from Van Buren.
Van Buren slips under a jab.

Marceau dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Van Buren throws a poor cross that misses
and Marceau counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Van Buren misses with an uppercut
and Marceau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Van Buren uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marceau.
Marceau paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Joost Van Buren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Buren throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Marceau counters with a crisp right hand that drops Van Buren! Marceau lets Van Buren back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Van Buren pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marceau definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Marceau lands a big right hand that sends Van Buren crashing to the mat! Marceau stays standing though and waves Van Buren back to his feet!
Van Buren is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marceau throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Van Buren crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
