Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Happy Slashensmash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Christopher Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Slashensmash feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Slashensmash is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Wallace wants to stand and escape but Slashensmash is having none of it.

Wallace pulls Slashensmash in close to prevent any damage.

Wallace is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Wallace throws a sloppy head kick and Slashensmash moves out of range easily.

Wallace wants to sweep here but Slashensmash controlling him for the moment.

Slashensmash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wallace manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wallace gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Slashensmash counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Wallace is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Slashensmash pulls his head out easily.

Slashensmash takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Slashensmash is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Wallace trying to hold on to Slashensmash's head to control him but Slashensmash postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wallace displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slashensmash.
As Slashensmash backs off Wallace throws a huge counter combo but Slashensmash manages to avoid it all.
Wallace fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slashensmash avoids it really well and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Slashensmash manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wallace on his heels. He'll look to pass Wallace's guard now, I'm sure.

Slashensmash is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Wallace is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Wallace closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Slashensmash quickly recovers to half guard.

Wallace is looking to stand up but Slashensmash won't let him.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Slashensmash seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wallace for as long as he can get away with.

Wallace kicks Slashensmash off and gets to his feet.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slashensmash swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slashensmash wants to free his trapped foot but Wallace is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Slashensmash blocks the strikes from Wallace.
Wallace is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Slashensmash jumps into side control!
Slashensmash has control of an arm but Wallace manages to advance to Slashensmash's back!
Will Wallace go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Despite being in a bad position, Slashensmash is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.
Happy Slashensmash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

You can see the frustration on Slashensmash's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Wallace is looking for the choke from the back position but Slashensmash is controlling his hands well.
Wallace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Slashensmash prevents Wallace from getting a body triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace doesn't have the hooks in and Slashensmash manages to turn into his guard.

Slashensmash not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

I would just about give that final round to Christopher Wallace.
