Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Konor McGregorson (ranked 3236 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Chaster (ranked 3810 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Konor McGregorson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leon Chaster! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGregorson feints and as Chaster raises his hands in defense, McGregorson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. McGregorson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chaster is keeping the position for now. Chaster is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. McGregorson trying to control but Chaster is working from the bottom. McGregorson trying to move into half guard but instead Chaster has managed to sweep! McGregorson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chaster manages to get himself to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaster is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and McGregorson dives into side control.
McGregorson tries for a kimura but Chaster is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGregorson trying to control the position but Chaster is working away. McGregorson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Chaster regains half guard. McGregorson is trying to control. Chaster wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Chaster tries to get to full guard but McGregorson has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chaster has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McGregorson is working away from the top position though. McGregorson is pressing down on Chaster's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chaster is holding on for now. McGregorson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chaster doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McGregorson. Chaster desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaster looking for submissions off his back. McGregorson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chaster knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. McGregorson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McGregorson wants to take a breather but Chaster is having none of it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chaster slaps away a takedown attempt from McGregorson, before circling back to the center of the mat. McGregorson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chaster. Chaster stuffs the takedown attempt from McGregorson. McGregorson gets slowly back to his feet. Chaster only half commits to the counter leg kick. Chaster fails with a takedown attempt. McGregorson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chaster counters with a left and a right that stings McGregorson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Konor McGregorson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McGregorson throws a head kick that misses and Chaster counters with a nice double leg into side control. McGregorson won't be happy with that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Leon Chaster will probably get the nod. That's time! McGregorson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chaster shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGregorson pinned against the cage. McGregorson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck for McGregorson with that takedown attempt. Chaster shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McGregorson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. McGregorson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chaster looking to pass the guard. McGregorson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McGregorson looking for a triangle here. Chaster is fighting it but it looks tight! McGregorson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Chaster is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Konor McGregorson! In his post fight interview, Konor McGregorson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
