PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ke Zhang (ranked 2905 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rammsie Hartmann (ranked 3893 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ke Zhang has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ke Zhang seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rammsie Hartmann!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhang misses with a series of wild punches.

Hartmann shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zhang's guard.
Zhang is wriggling around but Hartmann manages to pass to half guard.

Hartmann thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ground and pound from Hartmann.
Hartmann working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hartmann trying to mount his opponent but Zhang defends it.
Zhang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Zhang is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hartmann scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hartmann uses his free foot to push down on Zhang's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zhang.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hartmann cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Zhang is rocked!
Hartmann is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Zhang goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Hartmann!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rammsie Hartmann!
