Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Hall (ranked 2967 p4p, 346 weight class) and Jordan Jackson (ranked 1084 p4p, 152 weight class). Jackson has chosen Puff Daddy-Victory (ft. Notorious B.I.G & Busta Rhymes) as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Darius Henderson and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hall working hard to break the clinch.
Jackson slows down the pace here.

Hall breaks from the clinch.
Hall connects with a right hand. Jackson shakes it off.
Jackson moves away from the strike by Hall.
Hall cracks Jackson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hall.
Charlie Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Hall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hall wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.

Hall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hall tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hall wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hall definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Hall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hall wants to land a leg kick but Jackson is out of range.
Hall misses with a looping left.
Hall displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hall swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hall.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jackson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Charlie Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hall darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.

Hall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It looked like Hall wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Charlie Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Jackson.

Hall slips a straight right by Jackson.
Hall lands with a right hand.
Hall is looking to clinch.
And Jackson tries to counter it with a takedown but Hall pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hall throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.
An attempted straight right counter from Hall misses the target.

Jackson shoots in and bounces Hall off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Hall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.

Jackson keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully.
Hall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hall.
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Hall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Hall circles away.
A little feinted left hand from Hall on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Jackson throws the left hand but Hall avoids the punch easily.
Hall lands a jab to the head.
Hall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?
Hall has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hall there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hall as he avoids it easily.
Charlie Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Jackson.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Hall.
Hall scores with a punch to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hall moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jackson goes for a double leg but Hall avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hall continues to drive forward.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Hall lands with a slapping head kick.
Hall lands a leg kick that knocks Jackson off balance momentarily.
Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hall.
Hall throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily.

Jackson moves into range and clinches up with Hall.

Hall is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Hall breaks from the clinch.
Jackson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jackson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hall slips a straight right by Jackson.
Hall was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hall back to the cage. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hall lands a slapping body shot.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jackson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Nice takedown defense from Hall. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.

Hall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jackson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hall goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hall takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hall dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jackson. That did some damage!
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Hall sprawls well.

Hall connects with a right hand. Jackson shakes it off.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hall is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jackson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jackson is thwarting Hall's attempts to control the position.
Jackson wants to pass to mount but Hall is defending the position.
Hall is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Hall bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jackson's head.
A swing and a miss from Hall.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Hall circles away and keeps his distance.
Hall wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hall feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Hall.
Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A swing and a miss from Hall.
Jackson feints the counter takedown.
Jackson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hall cracks Jackson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Hall, which made it look bad.

Nice uppercut lands for Hall. That snapped Jackson's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hall throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hall's guard.

Hall is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Charlie Hall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jackson won't allow Hall to get back to his feet.
Jackson stays in close to Hall's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hall thows a left - swing and a miss!

Charlie Hall showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
