Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willie Weeks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Perez! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weeks misses with a looping left. Some wild striking there from Perez.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Weeks swats him away and circles back towards the center. Weeks connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice body punch from Weeks. Weeks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Weeks swings for the body but Perez moves out of range.
Perez walks into a left hand. Weeks lands a nice shot that snaps Perez's head back.
Perez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Perez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Willie Weeks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Perez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Weeks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Weeks feinted with a counter takedown. Weeks pushes Perez up against the cage in a clinch. Perez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Weeks working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Weeks lands a body punch. Perez is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Weeks.

Weeks misses with a hook from the clinch. Weeks gets through Perez's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Weeks lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Perez backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Weeks. Weeks pushes Perez back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Weeks can't find room to land a body shot as Perez controls the action.
A short left from Weeks. Weeks lands with a short head shot on the inside. Perez has a couple of punches blocked by Weeks.
Weeks throws a punch but it's blocked by Perez. A nice left hand lands by Weeks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Weeks lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Perez backwards.
Perez is rocked! Weeks working some nice short punches in the clinch. Perez is still on wobbly legs! Can Weeks finish him? Weeks pushes Perez against the cage. Weeks is working some dirty boxing. Weeks pushes off with a quick right hook! Perez goes down! Perez tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Weeks moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willie Weeks! Willie Weeks decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
