We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dalton Swas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mariano Medrano!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Darius Henderson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Medrano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Swas is in Medrano's guard.
Medrano wants to get back to his feet but Swas passes into half guard.

Medrano wants to stand back up but Swas manages to pass into side control.
Swas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Medrano some visible discomfort.
Medrano takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Medrano bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Medrano tries to keep at a distance but Swas has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Medrano missing with knees to the body.

Swas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Swas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Medrano.
Swas tries to counter by clinching up but Medrano breaks away and moves out of range.

Swas pushes Medrano up against the cage in a clinch.
Swas tries to work over Medrano's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Swas jumps guard and drags Medrano to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Swas tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Medrano wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Swas's closed guard. He's half up but Swas has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Swas pivots and extends the arm, Medrano falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Swas! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dalton Swas!
