Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kwon Jin Jin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kwon Jin Jin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fedor Jones!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Jin Jin, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Jin Jin against the cage but Jin Jin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jin Jin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jones is not content to let Jin Jin control the position.
Jin Jin tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs.
Jin Jin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Jones is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Jin Jin is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jin Jin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jones has eaten all the pies!
Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Jin Jin keeps moving and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jones tries to bench press Jin Jin off him but Jin Jin keeps the position.
Jones is trying to control Jin Jin's posture but Jin Jin avoids it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jin Jin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jin Jin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Jin Jin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jin Jin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now.
Jin Jin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jin Jin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jin Jin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jones is looking for a sweep. Jin Jin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones pushes Jin Jin off looking to stand but Jin Jin dives back in and keeps control.

Jin Jin prevents Jones from standing back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jones looks to clinch

and Jin Jin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jones with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jin Jin is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jin Jin wants a takedown but no success here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jin Jin prevents it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jin Jin connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Jin Jin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jin Jin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones is trying to stick to Jin Jin's back but Jin Jin is turning into Jones. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jones's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jin Jin.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jin Jin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Jin Jin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jin Jin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jones manages to capitalize on a mistake by Jin Jin to take his back!
Jones is not going to allow Jin Jin to sit and survive in this position.
