Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 2011 p4p, 239 weight class) and Jin Kazama (ranked 22585 p4p, 491 weight class). Biernat comes to the ring accompanied by Marzenia. Jin Kazama will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Mateusz Biernat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jin Kazama!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biernat steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kazama. That one must have hurt.
Kazama buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from Biernat.
Biernat throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kazama counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Biernat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Biernat looks to throw a body kick
and Kazama counters with a straight right hand.
We've been hearing reports that Biernat has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kazama fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Biernat checks it well.

Kazama feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Biernat's calf.
Biernat stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kazama.
Both fighters circling a little - Biernat finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kazama does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Biernat tries to land a front kick but Kazama steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

It looked like Biernat was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kazama.
Biernat misses with a series of wild punches.
Kazama looks to land a body kick but Biernat moved away.
A lazy left from Kazama finds it's target.
Kazama connects with a single shot there.
Kazama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kazama lands a jab to the nose.
Biernat throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kazama swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kazama connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jin Kazama dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mateusz Biernat will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jin Kazama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kazama has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
