Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Method Man - Bring da Pain. Wood is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nobody gets out alive. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Jimmy Jackson has been cut.
Wood takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Jon Wood has been cut.
Jackson misses with a straight right.
Wood is looking to clinch.
Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Wood ducks down to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Wood 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson misses with an uppercut.
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A punch combination from Wood misses.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wood tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wood to the ground. Wood escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wood scores with a body shot.
Wood misses the jab.
Wood shoots and misses
and Jackson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wood throws a hook but Jackson blocks it.
Jon Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wood staying out of range there.
Wood with a poor takedown
and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jimmy Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Wood.
Jackson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wood missing with a left hand there. Jackson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jackson slips under a jab from Wood.
Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Wood throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wood tries to clinch but Jackson moves away
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jackson throws a hook but Wood blocks it.
Jackson misses with a few strikes there.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Jimmy Jackson's cut is getting worse.
Wood throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That has opened up Jon Wood's cut even more.
Wood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wood looks gassed!
Wood fails with the takedown
enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wood takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jackson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jackson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Jackson postures up and lands a big shot to Wood's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wood has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.
Wood throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Jackson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The cut above Jon Wood's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Wood tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wood trying to keep a closed guard but Jackson is proving a slippery customer.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wood has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.
Jon Wood's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jon Wood's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jimmy Jackson!
