The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Giant lands with a kick to the temple. Cobb shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Cobb fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Giant checks it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Giant connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cobb. Cobb circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The cut above Tyson Cobb's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Giant doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cobb looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Giant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cobb moves away.

A nice side step and Cobb releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cobb throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Giant's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Cobb dives in looking to finish as Giant flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Cobb's strikes! Cobb is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Giant's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Giant was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

After the fight, Tyson Cobb was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
