Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chevvy Bridges (ranked 4658 p4p, 359 weight class) and Jan Kowalski (ranked 6310 p4p, 409 weight class). Jan Kowalski will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chevvy Bridges ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Kowalski! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kowalski slaps away a takedown attempt from Bridges , before circling back to the center of the mat. Despite the aggression on Kowalski's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Bridges shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kowalski pinned against the cage. Kowalski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kowalski fails to land with a series of punches.
Kowalski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kowalski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kowalski. Kowalski throws a right hand that Bridges ducks under and follows up with a left that Bridges also avoids with ease. Bridges lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Bridges goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Bridges darts in looking for a takedown but Kowalski gets double underhooks and turns Bridges into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chevvy Bridges . That's going to take a lot out of him. Bridges tries to clinch but Kowalski moves away and Kowalski counters with a stiff right hand. Kowalski instigates a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kowalski digs a right hand into Bridges 's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bridges 's gas tank. Kowalski tries to land a knee to the head but Bridges blocks with his arms.

Kowalski throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Bridges tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kowalski smiles and moves away.
Kowalski has closed the distance and engaged Bridges in a clinch.
Kowalski is trying to break the clinch but Bridges has him pressed against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bridges tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kowalski lands a shoulder strike. Bridges tries to pull guard but Kowalski won't allow it.
Kowalski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bridges is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bridges lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kowalski backwards. Kowalski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Kowalski lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bridges backwards. Bridges throws a punch but it's blocked by Kowalski. Bridges stalling in the clinch.

Bridges has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kowalski after a bit of a struggle. Bridges slowing the pace effectively. Kowalski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kowalski is trying to break the clinch but Bridges is controlling him. Kowalski wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bridges is trying to force a seperation but Kowalski has the dominant position.

Kowalski is working for takedown but Bridges is calmly controlling the position for now. Bridges is looking to take this one to the mat. The referee calls for Bridges to work.

Jan Kowalski dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bridges tries for a takedown but Kowalski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sloppy strikes from Kowalski. Those never looked like landing. Bridges throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kowalski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bridges sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kowalski misses with a two punch combination.
Kowalski scores with a one two! Bridges had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Kowalski moves into the clinch. Kowalski creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Kowalski lands a nice shot to the body. Bridges tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Bridges tries to stall but Kowalski uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bridges manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bridges is trying to maintain a safe position but Kowalski gets an underhook and turns Bridges into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bridges can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Bridges manages to break the clinch.
Kowalski leaves Bridges with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bridges dives in for a single leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kowalski throws out a counter right but Bridges avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chevvy Bridges . That's going to take a lot out of him. Kowalski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kowalski lands with a right hand. Kowalski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bridges . Jan Kowalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kowalski clinches with his opponent.

It looks like Jan Kowalski has been cut. Jan Kowalski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bridges has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kowalski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Bridges fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bridges scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kowalski bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Kowalski closes the distance and clinches. Bridges jumps guard but Kowalski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Jan Kowalski seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kowalski forces Bridges back against the cage and clinches.

Jan Kowalski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jan Kowalski's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Jan Kowalski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kowalski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
