The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kincaid looks for a takedown but Svensoon sprawls well.

Svensoon jumps guard and drags Kincaid to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Svensoon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kincaid is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Svensoon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kincaid's guard.

Svensoon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Svensoon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kincaid, up you get!

Svensoon lands a big head kick that sends Kincaid tumbling to the mat! Svensoon takes a step backwards and waves Kincaid back to his feet - he wants the finish!

A right-left combo lands from Svensoon.
Kincaid fails with the takedown.
Svensoon tries to counter by clinching up but Kincaid breaks away and moves out of range.

Svensoon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Max Svensoon.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Svensoon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
