Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darren Thomson (ranked 5252 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Skellebre (ranked 4327 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Skellebre will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Thomson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Skellebre!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Skellebre won't allow Thomson to pass to mount.
Skellebre on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Skellebre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Skellebre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thomson is working away from the top position though.
Thomson wants to free his trapped foot but Skellebre is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Skellebre wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Skellebre is just riding it out for now. Thomson eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Skellebre stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Skellebre wants it to stay on the feet.
Thomson dives in and grabs Skellebre's left leg, looking for a takedown. Skellebre pushes down on Thomson's head and hops out.
Skellebre follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Skellebre feints a jab promting Thomson to slip. Skellebre then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Thomson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Darren Thomson has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thomson is defended easily by Skellebre.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Thomson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Skellebre closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Skellebre lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thomson has his takedown stuffed
and Skellebre counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Skellebre connects with a nice cross there... Thomson is looking wobbly and Skellebre recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Thomson to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Skellebre jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
