Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vladimir Emelyanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shea Donagh!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelyanov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Donagh napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Donagh looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Emelyanov is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Emelyanov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Donagh sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Donagh enables Emelyanov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Donagh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Emelyanov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Donagh's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Emelyanov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Donagh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Emelyanov is in Donagh's guard.

Donagh is working an open guard so Emelyanov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Emelyanov.
Donagh closes the distance and clinches up with Emelyanov, looking for a takedown. Donagh pushes Emelyanov against the cage but Emelyanov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
