The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Hayden.
Hayden slips a jab and a cross from Kemsky.
Hayden dives in and grabs Kemsky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kemsky pushes down on Hayden's head and hops out.

Hayden throws a nice inside leg kick.
No joy there for Hayden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Good leg kick by Hayden there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kemsky throws a nice looking combination but Hayden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kemsky moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kemsky throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kemsky lands with a nice body punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hayden. Kemsky does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kemsky throws a right and a left that Hayden avoids nicely.

Hayden closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hayden looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kemsky is avoiding damage well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kemsky takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hayden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hayden takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hayden is trying to control the action in half guard but Kemsky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, if Hayden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hayden looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hayden closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayden jumps guard but Kemsky turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kemsky breaks the clinch.

Kemsky throws a nice looking combination but Hayden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hayden fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Hayden. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kemsky throws a right hand that Hayden ducks under and follows up with a left that Hayden also avoids with ease.

Hayden fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kemsky sprawls well initially but Hayden persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kemsky wants to get back to his feet.
Kemsky is refusing to be controlled, as Hayden sits in half guard.

Hayden is controlling the pace.

Hayden stops Kemsky from getting back to his feet.
Hayden is trying to control. Kemsky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hayden maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kemsky could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hayden has cracked it and Kemsky is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hayden!
