Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Hertz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rage tries a head kick but it misses.
Rage lands a jab-cross combination. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hertz. Hertz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rage sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hertz waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Rage. Rage decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hertz wants to improve his position but Rage is controlling well.
Rage not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rage slows the pace down in half guard. I looks like Rage might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hertz is refusing to be controlled, as Rage sits in half guard. Hertz wants to improve his position but Rage is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rage throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Flash Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rage dodges the punch combination from Hertz.
Rage rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hertz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hertz misses with a head kick.
Hertz throws an overhand right that lands on Rage's shoulder, as Rage tries to avoid the shot. Hertz throws a head kick that misses. Rage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rage misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hertz is looking for a sweep. Rage is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hertz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hertz can't do much from the bottom here. Hertz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rage's best efforts. Hertz tries to roll over but Rage keeps him under control. Hertz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rage tries to free his leg and advance position but Hertz is retaining full guard. Rage wants to control from the top but Hertz keeps moving. Hertz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rage wants to control from the top but Hertz keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hertz has an active guard here but Rage has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flash Rage dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Hertz counters with a solid body kick. Rage closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hertz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rage trying to control the position from guard on top but Hertz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rage sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hertz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hertz working for a triangle but Rage defends it easily.
Hertz controls Rage momentarily but Rage frees himself. Hertz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rage is looking to work some ground and pound but Hertz has wrist control. Rage trying to control the position from guard on top but Hertz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hertz looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rage must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hertz keeping moving, preventing Rage from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rage postures up in Hertz's guard and throws a big left but Hertz blocks it. Hertz can't keep his opponent in guard - Rage advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hertz is pressing down on Rage's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hertz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rage trying to control the position from guard on top but Hertz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hertz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hertz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rage avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hertz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rage drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flash Rage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Nice sprawl there from Hertz as Rage shoots in. Rage shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rage was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hertz wants to control but Rage is having none of it. Rage in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rage lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Rage stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Rage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hertz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rage wants to stand but Hertz is controlling the position. Rage is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hertz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hertz seems to have locked his on tight now - Rage screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hertz, as he picks up the win!
