Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Egomi (ranked 24052 p4p, 476 weight class) and Rita Stienis (ranked 5379 p4p, 401 weight class). Egomi's entrance music is Hand of doom by Manowar. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Aron Egomi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aron Egomi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aron Egomi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rita Stienis! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Egomi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stienis. Stienis obviously looking to wear him down.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stienis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Stienis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Egomi shoots in for a takedown but Stienis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stienis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Egomi is looking to control Stienis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Egomi avoid being mounted? Stienis gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Stienis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stienis decides to stand back up. Stienis steps back and let's Egomi get back to his feet. Egomi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Egomi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Egomi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stienis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Egomi somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aron Egomi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Egomi wants to control but Stienis is keeping him busy. Stienis throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The fight stays on the outside here - Egomi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Stienis. Egomi shrugs it off though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stienis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Stienis decides to stand back up. Stienis steps back and let's Egomi get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stienis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Egomi moves into the clinch. Stienis breaks from the clinch.
Egomi fails with the takedown. Stienis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stienis shoots in and bounces Egomi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Egomi is breathing heavily. Stienis stands and steps away. Egomi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Egomi explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Stienis slaps away a takedown attempt from Egomi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Stienis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stienis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Egomi.
Egomi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stienis is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Stienis closes the distance and pushes Egomi back into the cage. Stienis is trying to break the clinch but Egomi is controlling him. Stienis breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rita Stienis dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Left hook, right uppercut from Stienis. Stienis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Egomi was covering up waiting for the punch and Stienis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stienis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Egomi, up you get! Egomi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Egomi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stienis has Egomi up against the cage in a clinch.

Stienis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stienis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stienis misses with a series of wild punches.

Stienis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stienis stands up and waves to Egomi to follow him. The fight stays on the outside here - Egomi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Egomi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Egomi trying to keep a closed guard but Stienis is proving a slippery customer.

Aron Egomi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Egomi gets caught napping as Stienis dives in and scores a takedown. Egomi manages to retain guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rita Stienis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Egomi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Stienis throws a lazy head kick and Egomi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stienis has one foot on Egomi's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
