The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grigorian clobbers Sanchez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Hector Sanchez has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Grigorian.
Sanchez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grigorian sprawls well initially but Sanchez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Grigorian is not content to let Sanchez control the position.
Grigorian keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Grigorian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grigorian is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanchez.

Grigorian tries to control Sanchez's head but Sanchez pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Grigorian is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
