Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Togata (ranked 4206 p4p, 432 weight class) and Dexter King (ranked 4141 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Its Time to TAP as his entrance music. Dexter King is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshi Togata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dexter King! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Hemmingworth and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Togata throws a quick counter head kick but King was just out of range. Togata steps to the side to avoid the strikes from King. King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. King throws a lazy uppercut
and Togata counters with a nice double leg into side control. King won't be happy with that. King on the wrong end of some ground and pound. You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Togata lands a decent elbow from side control. King is trying to control Togata's posture but Togata avoids it. Togata is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there. Togata trying to control the action but King is working from the bottom.

He lands a short punch in the meantime. King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Togata is thwarting King's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Togata sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed King's guard. King manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Togata on his heels. He'll look to pass Togata's guard now, I'm sure. King wants to control from the top but Togata keeps moving. King drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Togata manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now King has Togata in his guard. Togata lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Togata gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Togata wants to control but King is keeping him busy. King is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Togata off and has taken his back! Togata is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if King gets his way!

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Togata is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around? King actively working from the bottom here. Yoshi Togata overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Togata is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Togata eventually gives up the hold. Togata winds up and cracks King with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
